Styles of dance practice

 

Finding the best dance practice for your personality depends on a few key components. It may also depend on what side of the bed you woke up & how you are driven to express yourself on any one particular day.  Whilst this is all fundamentally my interpretation it is still up to you as an individual to attend a class, session, gig, course etc to make the final decision.


 But  first let's look at what is 'conscious dance'' 

Conscious dance includes any form of dance whereupon the dancer has an intention to go beyond their everyday awareness and expand consciously through dance to an altered state. This could be Trance dance, Kundalini dance, Transformational dance, 5 rhythms, Ecstatic Temple Dance, Soul in Motion, Essence Dance, NIA, Divine Dance, Peace Dance, West Zen dance, Chakra dance, Wu Tao dance, or dance movement healing ...just to name a few.

The benefits of conscious dance range from planetary healing, to personal transformation, deepened self awareness, bliss, ecstasy, improved health & fitness, stress release, manifestation of inner and outer goals ... and the list goes on.

Everyone can dance ... there is no limit on age, fitness or skill. So next time when the idea of a trip to the gym, a yoga class, meditation session or a mow of the lawn isnt rocking your world let go on the conscious dance floor in a sacred space and enjoy the journey.


 The KEY COMPONENTS that appear to be deciding factors in a persons choice (market research) are as follows :


1. Time of day of a class/availability

2. Type of music played. 

3. Level of guidance by teacher. 

4. Size of group attending. 

5. Drop in or course , worshop or retreat.

6. Level of professionalism/training/experience of facilitator. 

7. Personality/values of facilitator. 

8. Social Network.
